New Year’s Eve

I was right.  Last night all Chris wanted was frozen pizza.  He had that and I ate a bagel.  Just didn’t feel like pizza last night.  I’m trying to decide about tonight.  Do I want to fix myself something really good, or easy?  I’m going to stop and buy popcorn because I feel I may [...]

New/Added Duties

As of Monday of  last week I have been coming over to the HIV office at 2:00 every afternoon until 4:30.  The person who has this job leaves at 2:00 pm so I’m here to cover after she leaves.  It has been quite an initiation.
Someone came in begging that first day.  He needed money to take [...]

Countdown to 2009

Wow, 2008 is really winding down fast.  Christmas is over and I must say I’m glad for it to be over.  The little ones did make it special this year though.
I’m a bit apprehensive about 2009 although I’m trying to keep the faith that all will be well.  My job may end on March 31st, [...]

Christmas Aftermath

It was a good Christmas, even a terrific one.  Mostly I think because my grandson is three and old enough to open his presents and have fun with them.  It was joyous watching him.  I’ll say it again, that kid owns my heart.  The ham was good Christmas Eve and we had a nice time.

My youngest son, who is now 18, has depended on me for almost everything since he’s been born.  The trouble with that is he is old enough now to do things for himself but I know he’d rather I did them.
For example, shortly after he got a car and needed something done to it I [...]

Now I’ve never been able to walk on water, but this morning I walked on snow.  It was so hard packed even though it was fresh I could walk on top of it with ease, not stepping down into the snow once.  It took me longer to clean my car (as little as I did [...]

Abuse, or not?

Today the meaning of abuse has changed from when I was a child.  When I was a kid, we all “got it.”  Some corporal punishments were harsher than others and under today’s definitions most of us baby boomers were abused.  But I don’t think so.    But almost every one   I know had some sort of corporal [...]

Wednesday, December 17

It has been busy.  I’ve kept busy and collapse at home at night.  I really have to get things moving here.  I need to put up my tree.  I need to finish Christmas shopping!  I don’t have a thing yet for my oldest son and  that is terrible.  I’m close to done otherwise.
We  have a [...]
